Since October 18, 1893 the Wesleyan Church has had a footprint in Anderson, SC.  The first church was located on North McDuffie Street.  Around 1900 the church moved to South Main Street in Anderson.  On March 29th 1987 the First Wesleyan Church merged with Lakeside Wesleyan Church and moved to he current location on New Prospect Church Road.  In 2010 the church was renamed Bridge of Hope Community Church.
